                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 2311-2349
                   STANDIFER GAP ROAD, AND 2300-2304 GALE LANE,
                   BEING ON THE NORTHEAST LINE OF STANDIFER GAP
                   ROAD, AND THE SOUTHEAST LINE OF GALE LANE FROM
                   R-2 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO R-1 RESIDENTIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 2311-2349 Standifer Gap
                Road, and 2300-2304 Gale Lane, being on the
                northeast line of Standifer Gap Road, and the
                southeast line of Gale Lane.  Lots 1-13, Standifer
                Glen Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in
                plat book 49, page 260, R.O.H.C.; being part of the
                property described as Tract 2 in deed book 4000,
                page 113, R.O.H.C.  Tax Map No. 138K-F-18.
               
               
         from R-2 Residential Zone to R-1 Residential Zone.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
